The paradox struck me one day thinking about cryonics. Why do we expect an unfrozen brain to have a continuation of "my" consciousness and what is this "my" anyway? Reasoning it through I was forced to the conclusions outlined here. Then later discovered I was not breaking entirely new ground, Schroedinger having reached the same conclusion from a similar line of reasoning. Some computationalist philosophers of mind have also arrived at much the same place though expressed differently eg Bruno Marchal. His paper is linked in my most recent article.
