Thanks for your thoughts. My argument is that our *cognitive* reality is largely a social construct, not our social reality (which tautologically is) or our physical reality (which is not). Some aspects of that reality have arisen from reason and rationality, but we have not been involved in forming these beliefs. We learn to apply reason but initially simply absorb what our culture tells us. We often confuse rational belief with collective belief. As my final sentence indicates, I am not denying the existence of rationality of course, only questioning its primacy in the way humans form beliefs and act.
