No kidding. But a piss-weak riposte. Does this mean that all truth is relative to the person who consumes it? Q drops were “information” to the qanoners.
Misinformation is a thing. It means “information that is not accurate”. And as long as there is an objective truth out there, the term will mean something. Because we cannot possibly evaluate all claims, we have to rely on sources we trust, as you rightly say. Sometimes those sources will be wrong anyway. 1% of the time the talking head on YouTube will be right and mainstream scientific consensus will be wrong. Nonetheless you should believe the science until something truly compelling makes you believe otherwise. The BBC is a mainstream institution aligned with science. It is there to tell you what most scientists believe to be true. If it is cherry picking experts as you seem to suggest (finding someone willing to disagree), then that is shoddy journalism but I doubt that is what is happening. They’re simply following their mandate to report what the science says.
