I work for a subsidiary one of the big four Australian banks. We’re using gen AI for document extraction, among other things. There are in fact numerous applications across the bank where it is being used, and this in an extremely bureaucratic and risk-averse, highly regulated environment. So I’m surprised by this. It’s not universal by any means.
