For the person philosophically inclined to the sense of absurdity, this is no doubt true. But in reality, it does not seem that religious folk experience it this way, since their religion represents a retreat from this type of relationship with existence. Perhaps though, this is what “doubt” is, in which case the religious person’s response is to pray harder!
