“Even the demographics show that there are more single men than women”. Erm… there are (almost) equal numbers of men and women and homosexuality is as prevalent among men as women, right? And each time a straight woman gets into a relationship, it is with, guess what, a man! So this statement is logically impossible- except if there are more men than women in a population, which is not true in the US at least - it’s the other way. Getting into and staying in a relationship is always equally difficult for men and women, by definition, even if the issues each sex faces are very different. (Though it’s true that the tendency of men to pair with younger women makes for an age related asymmetry: it is relatively harder to find a partner as an older woman or a younger man.)
