100%. An insightful and articulate piece. There's a lot of intellectual one-upmanship in the coding world which leads people to profess love for difficult things. I suspect that where's Rust's "most loved language" on SO derives from. Once you master a difficult thing you suddenly start to love it, but while you were getting there you hated it, but kept quiet about it lest someone think you dumb. Rust's design goals led it down some very obscure and twisted paths in the types department that make it a hard language to truly master. Let's be honest about that.
