…hen he said that the ruined and destroyed earth made him patently aware of the beauty of the world. The whole scene in a London hotel made me emotionally aware of the fragility and value of love, and how it burns behind the desire of everyone involved, broken, discarded and unacknowledged. The documentary is painful, sad, depressing watching, but it is love that is signified by the sadness.
